Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Machinery Asset Specialist to join Spartan’s Reliability Services Team, based in Regina or Saskatoon.  The successful candidate will work directly at customer sites and/or remotely at the Spartan Controls office or your home-based office. The successful candidate will support the delivery of machinery condition monitoring and diagnostic, as well as consult and implement advanced maintenance strategies to new and existing clients. You will report directly to the Manager, Reliability Solutions.

Role and Responsibilities

A major focus will be on Vibration Analysis of rotating machinery but will also include design, implementation and support of reliability programs. These programs may include utilization of Vibration, Oil, Infrared, Ultrasonic and Motor technologies

Design:

  • Technology selection/optimization for critical and essential assets
  • Plant control system and machine reliability program integration
  • Support design and development of program goals and KPI's

Implementation:

  • System/program installation and commissioning
  • Technology deployment, baseline acquisition

Support:

  • Field data capture, analysis and reporting
  • Asset and system optimization
  • Formal and informal training
  • Data Analytic Software Tools

Qualifications and Skills

  • Engineering Degree (Mechanical preferred) or Engineering Technologist Diploma, or a Trade Certification, (Heavy Duty, Automotive, Millwright)
  • Knowledge and experience with rotating & reciprocating machinery would be beneficial
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, as well as product and application understanding 
  • Formal Vibration, Thermography, and Tribology training would be beneficial 
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills 
  • Base knowledge of Network and IT systems
  • Highly motivated and innovative self-starter
  • Ability to work in a team environment 
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Entrepreneurial work ethic
