Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Specialist specializing in Measurement and Analytical products.  The position will be based in either Grande Prairie, AB or Fort St. John, BC, and will report to the General Manager, Peace Region. 

 

This position will provide support on products such as: Rosemount Analytical (GC’s, CEMS, Process Gas Analyzers, Combustion), Truck Unloading Systems, Micro Motion, Drexelbrook, Phase Dynamics Water Cut Analyzers, Rosemount Process and Inventory Level Products, Rosemount Vortex and Mag flow meters, Rosemount Pressure and Temperature transmitters, Fluenta Flare Meters, RTU’s (FB107, FB1100/1200, FB3000, Bristol) and many other industry specific measurement and analytical solutions. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site field service support for our Measurement Instrumentation customers
  • Startup and commissioning of all Measurement Instrumentation products as required by customers
  • Supporting the sales team with technical telephone and field support
  • Trouble shooting process, installation, and mechanical failures on measurement applications and on Spartan solutions
  • Quality assurance on new equipment including testing new hardware and debugging new software
  • Provide telephone customer support on Measurement Instrumentation
  • Responsibility for in-house and factory repairs of products
  • Possible camp rotation work occasionally required
  • Participate in 7/24 on call rotation

Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma from a 2 year technologist instrumentation course or Journeyman/Journeywoman/Journeyperson Instrument Certificate
  • Previous Instrumentation field service experience an asset
  • Strong trouble shooting skills
  • Comprehensive computer background and skills including networking
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Able to produce quality documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Entrepreneurial work ethic
  • Some lifting of instrumentation equipment (not heavy)
  • Must be able to distinguish colors
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license, safe driving record and willing to travel extensively
  • Entrepreneurial work ethic
  • This position has been deemed as safety sensitive - successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment Alcohol & Drug test
