Summary

We are currently recruiting for a temporary Painter / Labourer for our relief valve business in the Edmonton Service Centre (5515 42nd Street). The position will be a temporary term of 12 months, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will report to the Warehouse Operations Manager. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Painting valves and actuators
  • Palletizing valves and preparing for shipment
  • Shop organizing and cleaning
  • Cleaning and maintaining paint equipment & work area
  • Interfacing with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work overtime to meet customer requirements
  • Assisting technicians with a variety of tasks, as required
  • General labour as required

Qualifications and Skills

  • Mechanically knowledgeable
  • SAP experience considered an asset
  • Forklift experience considered an asset
  • Jib crane experience considered an asset
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Solid keyboarding and computer skills
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Team player
  • Entrepreneurial work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Physically able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.

Job Specifications:

  • Full-time position, typical hours of work: Monday through Friday, 08:00-17:00 (some exceptions apply) with one hour unpaid lunch 
  • Safety footwear & eyewear required in warehouse at all times (Company-provided)
