Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Burnaby-based Account Manager. With keen analytical skills, you are able to understand the Customer’s situation and deliver exceptional solutions and services that are tailored to their needs. You will lead sales activities and forecast and implement growth plans by understanding, recognizing, and creating strategic business opportunities. Success in this position means leading by example, as an active team player who strengthens business relationships and takes responsibility for each and every customer. The successful candidate will report to the Burnaby Sales Manager.
Role and Responsibilities
- Focus on value our Customers want and expect
- Proactively pursue business with various customers across Water & Wastewater and Building Tech industries in BC
- Business development focus to identify new opportunities and acquire new customers in non-traditional industries
- Deliver bookings results for all business units within Spartan Controls
- Leverage One Spartan capabilities to drive business growth for Spartan
- Interface with multiple clients/multiple business units to deliver overall Spartan business strategy and initiatives for growth and market penetration
- Understand and communicate Customer needs and business strategy/initiatives to ensure Spartan's continued leadership in delivering creative solutions
- Develop account leadership through effective strategic account planning and development
- Build strong mutually beneficial enduring relationships
- Lead a focused Spartan team delivering increased Customer loyalty and profitable growth
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or graduate from an accredited Technological Institute preferred
- Minimum of 5 years proven successful track record in a sales role within a team environment
- Experience with consultative front-line sales activities necessary to maintain and grow business
- Experience in resolving complex customer issues with Spartan products and solutions
- Broad understanding of all Spartan products, services and solutions
- Experience with Customer Centric Account Development and the Solutions Selling process
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly effective at building long-term relationships
- Strong ‘Customer First’ focus
- Experience in negotiating contracts, deal making, and making presentations
- Expert ability to qualify leads and opportunities
- Growth and results oriented.
- Entrepreneurial work ethic with a “do what it takes” attitude
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license; regular travel is required
